Responsibilities include covering call for trauma cases of the busiest eye-dedicated ER in Rome. Actively involved in clinical research in the field of surgical retina as well as basic research in novel areas of technical improvement such as the development of new vitrectomy light sources, the application of Finite Element Modeling and numerical computation to eye traumas and echo Particle Image Velocimetry to vitreous traction and vitrectomy probes efficiency.
